How to Order

Design in your own software. We print, bind and dispatch. Four steps, and only the first one happens once.

The four steps

Get a trade account

Apply once. We verify your studio and send your login, usually within 1–2 working days. Trade prices stay hidden until you are logged in.

Prepare print-ready files

Design in your own album software and export one file per spread at our spread size. Keep text clear of the centre and allow bleed on every edge.

Send your files

Upload the whole job with WeTransfer or Smash, whichever you prefer, then fill in the order form so the files and the instructions arrive together.

Hand-finished in Bengaluru and shipped anywhere in India. Production times are below; designing time is extra if you ask us to design.

Step-by-step guide

How to send your files

Use WeTransfer or Smash, whichever you prefer. Both send your files straight to Pro Lab. Watch the short video or follow the steps below. Upload stuck? WhatsApp us on +91 99029 56079.

How to send your album to Pro Lab with WeTransfer in four steps

Send with WeTransfer

  1. Open Pro Lab’s WeTransfer page. Files sent here come straight to us, so there is no need to type our email.
  2. Click + or drag in your files. Put one album in one folder, with spreads numbered 001.jpg, 002.jpg and so on.
  3. Enter your email and, in the message, your studio and client name.
  4. Click Transfer. WeTransfer may email you a code to confirm your address.
  5. Keep the tab open until the upload reaches 100%.
  6. Copy the transfer link from the confirmation email and paste it into the order form on File Transfer, so we know which order the files belong to.

How to send your album to Pro Lab with Smash in four steps

Send with Smash

  1. Open Pro Lab’s Smash page. Files sent here come straight to us.
  2. Drag in your files or folder. One album per transfer, spreads numbered 001.jpg, 002.jpg and so on.
  3. Enter your email and add your studio and client name.
  4. Click to send. Large jobs take longer, so leave it running.
  5. Keep the tab open until the upload is complete.
  6. Copy the transfer link from the confirmation email and paste it into the order form on File Transfer, so we know which order the files belong to.

When production starts

Once your files are approved, your job starts the same day or the next working day, depending on how many albums and books are in the queue that day. We confirm the start date when we approve your files.
Rush orders

Need it sooner? Send approved files before 11:00 AM and ask for rush. There is no extra charge. Rush is offered occasionally, when the day’s load allows, so call or WhatsApp the trade desk to confirm before you upload. We keep every rush date we confirm, but a machine breakdown or similar problem can sometimes cause a delay; if that happens, we tell you straight away.

Sample albums with your logo

A real album on your table sells better than any screen. Trade accounts can order display samples at 10–15% below their trade price.

Your logo on the cover

We design and brand the cover page for you, with your studio logo in place of ours.

The real product

Same paper, printing and binding as a client order, so what your clients see is what they get.

How to order

Write SAMPLE on the order form and send your logo as a PNG or vector file with your spreads.
Test prints from your own files

New to Pro Lab? Before your first album, order a few test prints from your own files and check our colour against your screen and your edits. Test prints are charged at your trade print rate. Write TEST PRINT on the order form and send the files you want printed.

Every size on this site is a spread size – the album or book open, measured across both pages. Export one file per spread at that size.

Design in any album software you like. We print from JPEG spreads, so all you need to do is export them to our file specs and send them over.
